The Genesis
Pixacare originated from a real-world need. Every week, Prof. Frédéric Bodin took over 200 medical photos to monitor his patients' healing, using manual and time-consuming classification processes.
En 2018, convinced that technology could simplify this reality, he envisioned a solution dedicated to structuring medical photos. He then partnered with Matis Ringdal and Vincent Marceddu to develop a first prototype, which was quickly recognized and marked the birth of Pixacare.
Since then, Pixacare has reached several key milestones: funding rounds (2021, 2024), CE marking, certification ISO 13485 and large-scale deployment.
Today, the solution supports over 150,000 patients and overone million medical photos, in numerous university hospitals, hospitals, clinics, and cancer centers.
Based in Strasbourg (Nextmed), Pixacare continues its expansion in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
