As part of the event CHU HealthTech Connection Day in Lille, CHU Média produced a report on the Pixacare application, a solution that is transforming the management of the medical photo library.
Professor Pierre Guerreschi, head of the department of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Lille University Hospital, has been using Pixacare since November 2020. With nearly 12,000 photos saved in the application, he is an experienced user who is convinced of the advantages that this technology offers in his daily medical life.
Pixacare, a daily reflex for its photos.
Professor Guerreschi shares the main advantages of Pixacare and how he uses it every day:
- Taking photos made easy : the shots are taken directly with the application from your smartphone, offering great speed and convenience.
- Secure hosting : photos are automatically stored on a certified cloud HDS, guaranteeing perfect confidentiality and data security.
- Collaborative sharing : the images can be shared with the medical team, facilitating exchanges and discussions during staff meetings.
- Optimizing follow-up : the addition of keywords allows accurate and effective monitoring of clinical cases, thus simplifying data research and analysis.
- Patient Involvement : Pixacare offers patients the ability to send their own photos, reducing unnecessary trips to and from the hospital and improving their comfort.
An expected evolution: the integration of videos.
Professor Guerreschi says he is excited to see Pixacare integrate video capture and management functionality in the near future. Expected in the coming weeks, this new feature will allow users to record videos of injuries for more comprehensive documentation.
